Where Has My Saturday Gone?

It is finally Saturday again, but unfortunately it is passing quickly. How is it that weekdays (particularly work weekdays) seem to last forever sometimes, but Saturdays always feel like they are over in a second. And I was very glad for this Saturday to be here, as the past work week almost completely wore me out. Though any pity should probably go towards my husband who has to deal with a brain-fried wife on Friday evenings (vegging on the couch is usually my favorite and preferred activity on those nights). I didn't have to bring any work home though to finish up last night (my project delivery dates are usually set for Fridays) plus Ryan made us chinese for dinner, so the weekend did get off to a great start.

It has been a busy day and in some ways, feels like most of it was spent grocery shopping. We hit Sam's, Hy-Vee, and then Super Target all in one afternoon. Sam's was a particularly successful trip though as we finally found a place selling those Krunchers potatoes chips (besides Panera's of course). They are the snack size packages of course, but being among both of ours favorite chips, we're not complaining (we are actually sharing a bag right now, or were...Ryan wolfed most of them all down already). If we had only been able to find my orange juice pitcher at Target, it would have been a perfect day. You know those 2 quart pitchers which come with a paddle in the middle to better mix up the juice when making/pouring...if anyone sees one somewhere, let me know! As you can see, I lead an "exciting" life here (yes, there is joy in the small things) -- aren't you glad I share with you all?

  • I can't believe you guys like those Kruncher chips from Bread Co. Those things are terrible, barely edible. Must be an Omaha thing! Jenny Rae
