The Day of Ryan-Jackie

Can you tell that we've seen one too many Seinfeld episodes lately? We've been so busy over the last few weekends with fun family stuff (including last weekend in Branson and yesterday with Ryan's family in Lincoln), which as I mentioned was fun, great, and well-needed & enjoyed, but found ourselves approaching Sunday morning needing a little R&J time at home.

So we started out our day with breakfast out on the back-porch (enjoying our new little patio table which we got during a great End of Summer sale), then measured and cut out our lattice pieces to go below the front porch (I got to be in charge of the chalk line tool and tried not to cringe too much when Ryan ran the saw), primed our window frames for the back-porch, finished the retaining wall by our patio area (the patio will be waiting until next spring to be completed), and then painted the BP window frames. And found some time to make chili (it is that time of year!) and some banana bread (me) & whole wheat bread (ryan).

All in all, it was a very good day...definitely one of our favorite things to do together is work on home projects together. So we really enjoyed having this day to ourselves. However, did discover this evening that we had missed a few phone calls during the day so will make sure to call you all back tomorrow!
