Prego Update - Week 37
We hit Week #37 this Wednesday...only a few more weeks and it will be time for Maisie's arrival (I would say maybe earlier, but as you know, right now it looks like she is still enjoying her current habitation and doesn't seem to be in too big of a hurry to exit it just yet). And that also means only a few more weeks of work in the office...August 8th is my last "work in the office" day and then I will work from home for the remaining work days until the Big Day. Though looking forward to it, it is definitely a bit weird to think about -- this will be a big change in more ways than one, I am thinking.
So, on with the update:
Changes to Maisie: She is now somewhere between 16.5 & 19.5 inches (if she takes after me, she will probably be a little on the short side) and weighing potentially around 6 to 7 pounds (again, guessing possibly on the light side). She should be turned to the head down position this week; hopefully will find out for sure at my next doctor's visit (next Monday afternoon) -- otherwise there are some techniques (exercises, stretches, for example) that can be tried in the coming weeks to get her there.
Changes to Me: From now on, probably won't see much significant weight gain...with the final weight gain being around 25 to 35 pounds (yep, I am still falling right in there on their recommend range). The amount of amniotic fluid should begin to decrease this week while the frequency of my Braxton-Hicks contractions should increase -- these haven't been too bad so far except when they catch me in the middle of trying to do something...don't worry, know the real thing will be much more painful -- can't wait! :)
