New Home

I haven't taken any new photos of my own just yet, but know that some of you are quite curious, so wanted to share at least an older photo of our quite possibly future home. This picture is from July 2003 and located on the county assessor's site. As you can see, it is a cute little 1.5 story older home. Our tenative plans would be to give the exterior a new coat of paint probably next spring (not sure if we can rely on the Nebraska fall/winter to cooperate)...Happy Scraping!















We are going to be completing the purchase agreement tonight at the realtor's office...and then next steps will include the appraisal, inspection, and finally close, which may be as early as September 22 with our big moving day on the 30th.

As a birthday present to me, Ryan is going to take a few vacation days that first week before moving in and spend time painting some of the interior walls. Particularly our bedroom which right now is the two young daughters' room and decorated in bright pink and purple paint. Looks cool in a pre-teen's room, just doesn't work for an "old married couple" like us. So if you're looking for a birthday idea for me, feel free to contribute to the paint fund...
