Week 19 Update
We are now in Week 19! Which means in a little over a week, we get to have our 1st ultrasound and should then know whether we are going to have a little girl or a little boy (at this point, I don't really care...just want to know that he/she is healthy and of course, if he/she is a he or a she). Here is the update highlights for the week:
Changes to Me: Round ligament pain becomes very common in the 2nd trimester...yep, already started experiencing...but nothing to worry about (unless the pain became very severe and/or constant) as this is a normal part of pregnancy.
Changes to Baby D: Very specific development is taking place now, including the kidneys and hair growth. And the parts of the brain which are responsible for the senses are specializing. Baby D is now about 7.5 inches long and weighs around 7 ounces (still lots of growing to do!).
Tips to Help Pregnancy: There is a reminder to avoid certain herbs, particularly if you were someone who often used herbs for medical ailments (not a problem here). Also might start experiencing more dizzyness this trimester, so am warned to make sure and rise from a lying (which they remind should be on the side, and not back) or sitting position slowly.
