No Snow Day
With all of the snow that we were getting yesterday and last night, thought that Ryan might end up with a snow day off from school...but no, it was another disappointing morning for him -- lots of scooping with no reward of a day at home. Guess we could still get another big snow this weekend, but possibly looking like there won't be any more snow days in this school year (had one back in December).
Despite the snow, we did get to enjoy a fun outing last night to celebrate our eldest nephew's 7th birthday. Ryan's sister & husband invited us to join them and the boys at Jinji's, a cool restaurant where they cook your food right there in front of you...and do a bit more than cook, kind of like your own dinner entertainment.
Between lots of chopping activity, a very friendly chef, great tasting food, an onion candle (for Sam's birthday), and flying shrimp (I was very unsuccessful at catching any in my mouth...Ryan, of course, caught every one!), it was a great night and quite possibly might now be my new favorite Omaha restaurant. Plus it was fun to hang out with Gretchen, Stacey, and the boys...
