Cooperina's Spot

It is still early to tell too many similarities & differences just yet between Maisie & Annie, but it has been interesting to see the early ones.

Similarities: Perhaps just most newborns look like each other, but thinking that Annie at 2 weeks has quite a similar appearance as Maisie did at that time...though thinking Maisie appeared to have a little bit fuller cheeks. There are some differences, but thinking will be able to tell that they are sisters. Annie's eyelashes are just coming in, but should know within next week or two whether she inherited Ryan's thick eyelashes like Maisie did (let's hope!) or got my finer ones.

And similar to Maisie, Annie also prefers the formula over my breast milk -- have to mix the two together now to get her to drink some. But likely will soon be going to primarily formula; just wanted to provide breast milk in the early weeks to give her some of the needed immunities. Maisie was very healthy last winter on largely a formula diet (think the good sleeping habits helped perhaps) so not too worried about Annie's largely formula diet as well.

Another fun similarity is that both love their belly times during this time, and both determined to get their head to move from one side to the other while on their stomach...so thinking Annie will likely be an early crawler as well.

Differences: Annie tends to be quieter than Maisie, and definitely has not reached the decibel level that Maisie was able to at that time. Annie also does not have nearly the trouble that Maisie did with falling asleep at night, nor has she had the slight colicky/fussy period in the evenings that Maisie had trouble with.

Annie is also not as active with her legs as Maisie was...at this time, Maisie was often moving her legs, kicking around, trying to stand with them, etc. Howver, Annie is very active with moving her head around and already developing a strong neck.

But overall, I think that I am blessed with two wonderful daughters...and love being able to see each one's separate sweet personality develop as they grow.
