Productive Morning

My very awesome husband decided to keep the late night feeding shift even though he was headed back to work today, so feeling pretty good again this morning (particularly as Maisie also had a great night of sleeping -- from 10pm to 2am, then from that feeding til a little after 5:30am this morning). And also means that I have been a bit productive this morning as well and able to tackle some "chores" on my list, including getting my short term disability claim into the system and completing the form to have Maisie added to my insurance.

We enjoyed a good holiday weekend as well including two fun outings with Maisie -- one to the zoo (which she slept completely through, but her parents enjoyed...and figured out morning is truly the best time to visit the zoo as the animals are all awake and fairly lively) and one to the Heartland of America park (where she enjoyed her dinner and all enjoyed a walk around the lake).

After being too tired to really get out much that first week home, it was great to be able to take part again in some of our normal outdoor activities...we have figured out that having Maisie in our life now may get us in fairly good shape as stroller walks often have a soothing / napping effect on her -- though not always guaranteed, and then if really desperate, we spend a little gas money on a short road trip down the interstate (speed & bumps are her thing).
