My Little Greenhouse
Decided to have a night of rest/relaxing at home tonight...we had an awesome but early morning team training at church this morning and then also another good class with Pastor Ray (trying not to over-do, so decided better say no to Terra Nova tonight...but Ryan and I did get to go together last Sunday night, and should again next Sunday night).
And our Sunday afternoon proved to be good as well. With the sun shining today (after a rainy day yesterday and thus a cancelled yard work day), we decided to spend some quality time in our yard. Though only a few hours of work, we got a good start preparing our butterfly garden (will be out in front of our home) and a few other miscellaneous tasks. I definitely have to say (and Ryan has said as well) that I love this part of being a homeowner.
After Ryan left for Afghan Volleyball, I have also been at work getting more of my flower seeds planted in trays (got a large portion done yesterday afternoon/evening). Hearing that it can be difficult to go this route (but much nicer on your budget), not sure how successful this "activity" will be but definitely also having fun working on it. Just love getting my hands in the dirt & seeds!
Still have a few of the faster growing flowers to plant in these trays (you don't want to start too early as they will outgrow their little pots before its time to transplant outside...after danger of last frost), but currently have most of them set up in my little make-shift greenhouse on top of our fridge. Check out picture below...and I will keep you updated on their status & health...Ryan has definitely been enjoying listening to me talk to them -- after all, who wouldn't want to come up above ground after hearing my voice? :)

Better wrap up for now...enjoying my fave show, Amazing Race (as well as yummy snack of cut apple slices & gummy bears). My Blondes are still in it! And they were so sweet on the last episode, to each other and to a little girl in the market (they gave her a manicure for free since she had no money).
